Intro
I love world-building, on small and large scales. Whether building a home garden or a curriculum, I believe that we can co-create the world we want to live in, rooted in compassion, truthfulness, and community, by practicing our best values on a daily basis. I would love to world-build with you.
Work
Some ways you can utilize my world-building skills:
As a doula, I can help you build a supportive, loving, research-based and adaptable plan for bringing new life into the world.
As a scholar, I can help you build inspiration and knowledge around a wide range of topics through one-time lectures and workshops, delivered in-person or through online formats.
As a teacher, I can help you build curriculums, courses and educational materials that will foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-cultural respect.
As a consultant, I can help you build vision statements, strategic plans, and workplace cultures that reflect deep respect for the interconnectedness of human life, the Earth we inhabit, and the diverse experiences we bring with us.
My Qualifications
I’ve held a variety of professional positions in secondary and post-secondary education, including student life, faculty, academic, and administrative roles. My wide range of experiences give me unique insight into systems, structures and institution building.
As a doula, I have special expertise in serving marginalized populations that are at high-risk in pregnancy and birth, but my practice is open to anyone wanting to build a life-affirming birth process. I am in the process of becoming a Medicaid certified doula in the State of Michigan.
I’m based in Southeastern Michigan for my doula services, and can travel for speaking engagements and longer consulting projects.
