My current project examines affective, or felt, connections to Black women celebrities in social media and public performances. I am also working on a guidebook with my colleague, Dr. Nikki Lane, on Black Feminist Pedagogies in Black Popular Culture. In the future I hope to work on a memoir that examines the affective dimensions of Black space and place, drawing from my own family history in the Delta of Mississippi.
